YESSSSSSSS he was just so EARNEST and ADORABLE and when he was all skinny at the beginning he was like a pathetic kitten. Everyone in the theater was just like "awwwwwww" anytime he did anything.
He must read the comics when he plays these roles because he has done every comic movie role he's taken perfectly. He did Johnny, Jensen, and Cap amazingly well, and even hit the guy from Scott Pilgrim.
Saw Cap last night. I liked the movie a lot. Only had 2 issues w/ it: 1) where was young Nick Fury?! All the rest of the Howling Commandos were there. 2) the soundtrack grated on my nerves a bit...
Evans did a way better job as Cap than he did as Johnny Storm...
I think because it's the ultimate Nick Fury they didn't want to put him in charge of the Howling Commandos? I don't know if Nick doesn't age in that canon. I'm not sure about Black Widow either actually since RDjr made some comment about IM and her not being age appropriate and I was sitting there for ten minutes saying, but she is the same age as Tony! Maybe they didn't tell him that. Since they're mixing the 1610/616 stuff so much - I'm not sure what is what now. Plus it's been so long since I read all the 1610 stuff...
I didn't notice the soundtrack tbh but I did listen to it on rdio somewhat and it wasn't good.
I thought he made a fine Storm - Johnny is a jackass and I think he sold that pretty well. /shrugs/ He was an awesome Jensen!
=looks at pic= I could think of worse ways to go... =chuckles=
Ultimates Nick Fury was around in WWII acc. to what I've been able to look up, but I see now why he wasn't in the CA movie. Nick was fighting along side pre-Weapon X Wolvie in a different area of Europe.
=shrug= I miss the regular 616 stories back when things still made sense. =sighs=
Oh! Thank you. That makes a lot of sense. I didn't read any of the X-men stuff.
I can follow some of it, but I don't read it as much as DC. As long as I get my YA fix I don't care too much. Every time I try to open an Ironman comic he's always doing something that causes me to scream like fucking Maria Hill.
Cap comics are pretty good. I liked Bucky Cap too, and HE BETTER BE OKAY NOW.
I probably need to do that. I am waiting for Cap on Trial to come out in the graphic novel format so I can read it all. TBH there are some comics that even after I read them I still read the wiki entries just to make sure I remembered/followed everything because the storylines sometimes go on for two years and shit, I forget things.
I watched The Losers about three times so I remember it pretty well. I liked the bits of the comic I read too, so that helps. Jensen was the computer guy.
I have to snag a copy of it on dvd one of these days. (Geez, there's a list that grows longer every bloody day: 6448 titles to get, 260 of which are comic book/cartoon based =rolls eyes= )
