I just found out that Joseph Gordon-Levitt actually auditioned for the role of Aaron in Latter Days.

So while that movie was beautiful and I have no actual complaints about it GODDAMMIT JGL COULD HAVE BEEN MAKING OUT WITH A DUDE ON FILM IN THAT MOVIE.

Does he make out with any dudes in Mysterious Skin? One of you has to have watched it.

Probably not. It still makes me a little sad though. Well, sad might not be the right word. The movie was adorable - the parts where he was with the guy. Not the other parts - those upset me pretty badly especially all that crap his mother said.

Related: The movie is weird, and obviously has a "triggering" subject, but the cast... yeah I had to watch it when it first came out. It's worth the watch.

Yep, I'm still working for the international human rights non-profit. We're doing a website re-design and have been dealing with a bunch of hacking problems lately, so work is super stressful, but at least I know that the work I do helps people.

JGL turns 30 this year, which means he was 23 then. Mysterious skin is pretty awesome, although difficult to watch in places. At least I found it so, the violence and... yeah. Also, hi! *g*

I was thinking 21 [thinking 23 in 2004 means the movie was possible filmed in 2002 or so?] because movies are usually made a few years before they are released and he looks especially young. Though it could have been filmed and then sent to Cannes!

Oh Mysterious Skin was all kinds of fucked up. His character has a thing for gross older men in the movie, but I can't remember if he ever hooked up with anyone his own age. Probably, the odds are in your favor there.
